Addressing Anti-Jewish Beliefs

After Mel Gibson's film Passion, many people became anti-Jewish who had previously not been anti-Jewish. We are seeing a lot of hateful rants against Jews on places such as the Internet, and the neo-Nazis have been capitalizing on the anti-Jewish sentiment to spread their ideological poison. With political correctness having been rightfully diminished in power, it is not possible nor is it constitutional to suppress such sentiments. But it is possible to address them with intelligence. Here is one effort to that effect.

Claim: Jews think that they are special.
Answer: Everyone thinks that they are special. Americans believe in American exceptionalism. Germans believe that they are the best at everything. Russians believed under the Tsars that they were the Third Rome, and under Communism they believed that they were the light of the world. The Nazis not only thought that they were special; they believed that they were the master race and deserved to rule everybody. Considering oneself special is merely human.

Claim: Jews crucified Jesus.
Answer: None of the Jews now alive were alive at the time of Jesus, and it is outrageous to blame them for something they haven't done. By the same standard, Germans should forever be equated with Nazism, England and Spain with imperialism, Americans with slave trade and Australians with destruction of the aborigines. All of the above wrongs took place a lot more recently than crucifixion of Jesus and resulted in rapes, maimings, enslavings and deaths of millions of innocent people. It is wrong to attack Jewish people living today for something that they had nothing to do with - unless of course one is to forever equate the Germans, the English, the Spanish, the Americans and the Australians with much more recent and much greater crimes.

Claim: The Muslims became America's enemies because of Israel and the Jews.
Answer: Ayatollah did not call Israel the Great Satan; he called America the Great Satan. The Afghans became anti-American not because of the Jews, but because America abandoned them after the war. And the Islamofascists are attacking not Israel's social institutions, which are culturally conservative, but the "western" social institutions, such as women's rights and civil liberties.

Claim: Jews are leading people to believe that Arabs are the enemy.
Answer: All sorts of people are against Islamofascism, and they should be. These people not only want to destroy Israel and America, they want to control the whole world. Most Christians are against Islamism, and some are against Islam as such.

Claim: Holocaust never happened.
Answer: And the Earth is flat.

Claim: The white people are genetically superior and deserve to rule the world.
Answer: White people were at the bottom of the world for 1,000 years that were the Dark Ages and could not hold their heads up to China, India, Baghdad and Timbuktu. They got ahead through superior methodology that was science and technology. Now that other races, such as the Chinese and the Hindu, are adopting similar methodologies, they are catching up fast.

Claim: The media does not say anything negative about the Jews.
Answer: For that matter, media does not publish hate rants against black people or Native Americans or Australian aborigines either. It is seen as hate-mongering and ethnic slander; and there is enough evidence from history to know where that leads.

Claim: The Jews control the media.
Answer: There are people in the media of all sorts of ethnicities. Jews have a strong representation in the media for the same reason that they have a strong representation in science and film. They are good at it. Alongside this media, there is also the liar media such as Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh; and these people also exercise influence for the same reason.

Claim: Jews caused the Wall Street collapse.
Answer: If that is true, then Jews also caused the vast growth in Wall Steet capitalization that preceded the collapse. If Wall Street is, as some say, a Jewish institution, then America owes vastly to the Jews economically. The Wall Street is recovering; and if the collapse is to be blamed on the Jews then the recovery should be credited to them likewise. In reality, Wall Street has both Jewish and non-Jewish people, and both the credit and the blame belongs with both.

Claim: One is never allowed to say that Jews are the enemy.
Answer: That is because Jews are not the enemy. The Orthodox Jews tend to keep to themselves, and the reform and conservative Jews have been vast contributors to the Western civilization. They are its best scientists, filmmakers, teachers, doctors, and some of its best businessmen. Jews have done vast amount of good for the Western Civilization, and only idiots would claim that they are its enemy.

Claim: The Jews run America.
Answer: America hasn't had a Jewish president, even though it had an Irish president, a black president, and presidents who came from poverty. There are Jewish people in position of influence, and there should be. In a place that does not practice ethnic discrimination, the bright people who are willing to work hard get to the top. This is testimony to the rightness of American system on this matter, and Americans should be proud of such a thing. What this means is that the system has worked as originally intended by the founders and is a mark of America's success.
