This morning the President and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan paid a visit to Graham Road Elementary School in Falls Church, Virginia where they had a chat with about 30 6th grade students. The conversation put a face to the people they were trying to help with the President's latest investment of more than a billion dollars in next year's budget to amp up the President’s "Race to the Top" program – a competition to incentivize success that has already generated an overwhelming response from states, with over 30 states expected to compete for first-round funding. You can learn more about Graham Road in the White House background release, but the school made a mark on its community by implementing a comprehensive strategy to turn around student achievement, adopting rigorous and high-quality student assessments, teacher evaluation and professional development, along with innovative and effective use of data systems to track student performance. As a result, in 2008 all of the school's sixth-graders met Virginia's reading standards, and 96 percent met math standards, despite being one of the lowest income schools in the county. The expansion of Race to the Top comes with a plan to encourage precisely this kind of visionary change in schools that apply for the challenge.

This is the man who is smarter than all of us? Using a teleprompter to give a speech to 6th graders? That doesn't seem very smart to me! And what about his advisors? Why didn't any of them step in and say, "You know Berry, maybe you should remember your key points here because we may get some ridicule for the teleprompter!" The whole lot of them are idiots if you ask me! Obama is supposed to be cooler than all of us, yet I think this makes him look pathetic.

See www.postchronicle.com/news/original/article_212280742.shtml where no teleprompter is used. The photos and/or videos were taken in two different rooms. Kids and Obama in one room, Press and Obama in another room. Just look at the backgrounds of the photos. Flag position, Globe position, stuff on wall and bullitin board. Look at the Youtube video where Obama is using the teleprompter. There are adults with cameras in the front row there. He needs the teleprompter for is (prepared for him) speech, like all his speeches. Can't accidently have some actual truth slip out, so his handlers control what he says to the press. In the room with the kids, there is no teleprompter setup that can be seen. O. figures the kids are too stupid to catch his mistakes, I suppose, but I'd bet they aren't! So, the photos themselves are not fake, but the assertion that he used the teleprompter to talk to the kids is false, and the photos were obviously assembled deliberately on various sites to give an incorrect impression.

So when he looks from side to side while speechifying, you are telling us that he is actually talking to the walls?
Cool!

What is funny is that nobody is surprised. It is easy to believe that he would have used a teleprompter when talking to children.

Get a grip, people, and focus on the message, not the untruth spread by the neo-cons.

Obama is not giving a speech to 6th graders in that video, It is a pool of reporters. But, you know what they say about repeating a lie- and that's all the GOP pundits have these days, lies, lies, lies- and more lies...
