Adopt a beer
I hereby announce that I am adopting a beer that is made in Canada, for crying out loud, because it bears my name. I am proud that Canadians, known for their fine taste in beer, would choose YankeeJim as the brand name.
I don’t really know how it tastes because it comes from way up north somewhere. But, I believe the water used to brew it must be cleaner than what we have down south in the USA. If it tastes as good as Moosehead, I’d shoot one with you.
“Our beers are crafted in the spirit of the rogue desperado Yankee Jim, who in the late 1800’s roamed the California coast in search of his fortune. He was a gold prospector, horse thief and was eventually hung to his death for his role as a pirate captain.
His spirit of independence lives on in our brands as we offer an alternative to the common place, the high priced and the generally lack luster offerings of the commercial beer industry today.
Enjoy the great taste of Yankee Jim beers, brewed with pure spring water, our own barley malt and select American hops!”
This is not an endorsement; it is the American way.
Best Beers Awards
“By Josh Rubin Food Reporter
Calling something the best is a sure way to start an argument.
Surely, though, in any debate over what deserves to be called the best beer in Canada, Trois Pistoles, a Belgian-style strong dark ale by Quebec's Unibroue, should be front and centre.”

Yankee Jim was not hung to death as they say. He went off to live with his brother John after the Feds confiscated his fishing ranch where he was visited by Rudyard Kipling who remarked that for every story Rudyard would spin, Yankee Jim would tell 50 more.

I will make a list of those who recommend the story. If the beer is any good, I might mail to you at least one bottle to sip with me.
