There is this emerging story from Pakistan. In a clear case of compromise in the law & order in the north western province of Pakistan today Afghanistan ambassdor to Pakistan was abducted while he was travelling from his consulate to his home in Peshwar.

Afghanistan's ambassador to Pakistan was abducted and his driver killed in an ambush on the diplomat's car Monday, in Peshawar, Afghan consulate said.

"The driver was killed in the firing and ambassador Abdul Khaliq Farahi has been abducted," according to Geo News senior correspondent Rahimullah Yousufzai.

Gunmen opened fire on the car as it was taking the diplomat from the consulate in the city centre to his home in a plush suburb of the Peshawar, police officer said.
