Afghan body builders show off their muscles in competetion
Afghan body builders flexed their biceps, triceps and six packes in front of cheering audence during the Mr. Afghanistan competetion held in Kabul on Tuesday.
Taliban terrorists ,when they were in power , banned Mr. Afghanistan contest as men are forbidden to apper semi-nude because as per their version if Islam it is forbidden.
With the outsted of Taliban , more and more people started getting involved in this sports. In Kabul itself there are lot of body building clubs exist now.
One of the main concern of the organizers of the show is that widespread abuse of steroids by the Afghan bodybuilders
Inside a small, dark and sweaty movie theatre in the heart of the Afghan capital, a packed audience of men chant and whistle as bronzed and muscular figures flex their biceps in the hope of being crowned Mr. Afghanistan.
The walls of the run-down Park Cinema, in bustling Shar-e-Now district, are plastered with Bollywood film posters, some peeling at the edges in the heat.
"I used to exercise under the Taliban but there were very few clubs you could go to back then," said 33-year old Rahmatullah, clutching the gold cup he won in the heavyweight 90 kg class.
Resembling copper-plated statues in their tiny, skin-tight underpants, competitors showed off their painstakingly toned muscles, contorting their bodies and tensing their metallic bottoms, backs, thighs and stomachs.

This is great that they are starting to do this again - good for them.
Is that a real picture by the way? The guy's head doesn't seem to match his body.

Horace, the Roman poet, quoted an old Latin saying in one of his poems, and I always remember it at a time such as this one, when something we really like doing returns after some kind of spoiler Puritan bans it: "You can chase Nature away with a stick. It always returns".

The bodybuilders only applied the metallic makeup to their bodies, not their heads... that's why.
