In a war zone such as Iraq, soldiers and operative try to blend into the population not daring to advertise their nationality or anything American, Canadian or other Western Countries Nationality.  Afghanistan apparently is a tad different.

Despite the bullets and road side bombs, with the Taliban targeting foriegners certainly makes announcing your status or nationality to the world a dangerous game.

Afghani's seem to have an affinity for anything Canadian, emblazing their vehicles with Canadian flags as they go about their day, this certainly is contrary to Politicians here at home who state Afghanis do not want us there and to pull our troops out.

KABUL - Canada likes to say it is the engine that drives Afghanistan's reconstruction, but that it's the Afghan people who are in the driver's seat.

In the country's capital city, it appears that Afghans are taking that literally.

Driving a so-called "Canadian car" has become a symbol of prestige among residents of Kabul.
