And this surprises everyone? If not despot dictators skimming large amounts of cash of 10 to 20% for themselves to prop up their salaries and lifestyle to safely tuck away in Swiss Bank accounts.

The World is now learning how lucrative it is to solicit Billions of Dollars annually from duped Donors worldwide. Self Professed Aid Groups showing pitiful images of starving children prey on the publics sense of decency are scamming 4 billion dollars for every 10 Billion Dollars it takes in at 40%.  Estimates now say 10 Billion is low with 15 billion dollars in aid annually as more accurate.

Aid agencies justify this for themselves in obscenely lucrative salaries and consultant fees. These  outrageous fees and salaries are on a scale that pales in comparision to what Despot Dictators 20% take they skim off the top, resulting in little food ever reaching it's intended receipients.

Thus a vicious circle of deception in order to continue to televise and show these same starving masses to a sympathetic  public in order to scam even more cash year after year and decade after decade to come .

LA BOURBOULE, France - The world's aid donors are failing Afghanistan despite pouring billions into the country since the fall of the Taliban in 2001, according to a study released by the Oxfam aid agency.

The study concluded that more than $10 billion in promised aid hasn't been delivered, and added that 40 per cent of money intended for development is funnelled back to donor countries and their citizens as a result of consultant fees and salaries, the BBC reported Tuesday on its website.

"Western countries are failing to deliver," the British broadcaster concluded in its evaluation of the report by Oxfam.

Barry Artiste, these are troubling times indeed! Over the last couple of weeks I have learned that I can no longer trust politicians and now you're telling me that charities can be nearly as bad (worse?) than skimming dictators. I need to sit down, I'm getting dizzy.

In all seriousness though, people have to actively look into the backgrounds of those charities they donate to. The "non-profit" industry is a great way to assuage one's guilt for making well over $100,000 and there is a lot of assuaging going on out there.

I have always found it funny when a politician's spouse went to "work" at a charity and made 100k+. "Consulting" is just another name for bribe.

Thanks for the Flag and comments Big T, in response to your comments, when I was with CCRA Ministry, we heard past and present horror stories, CCRA Enforcement investigating everything from food aid fraud,  money laundering from televangelists and politicians lining their pockets to religious organizations getting tax free status while they funneled cash for terrorism activities.   I have become quite cynical in my 20 year career,  it is ingrained in me, I trust no one unfortunately, I go to a restaurant in a food court, most times I notice they have an open till drawer, never closing it  with each transaction, thus  keeping the money and not paying the taxes and not reporting true income, or if their establishment  pays rent on monthly income  made, they screw the  shopping centre landlords.   When criminals here in the lower mainland are busted for drugs, most pay their fines in upwards of 20 grand for Drug Charges and Fines, we notice most times they pay in cash, I ask you who the hell walks around with 20 grand in cash? We just shake our heads, as we cannot do anything about it according to our Nancy Laws.  Yep, society my friend is going to hell in a handbasket, especially when the courts prevent us from making an arrest due to technicalities.

As for Dictators skimming aid money as if it is their own piggy bank, is extortion, one case a decade ago had food aid for Palestine ending up in third world countries on the black market.  What became of this scandal? Nothing, unfortunately that is the price of doing business in the hope a small portion of the food aid reaches the hungry.

If it were up to me, I would like nothing better than to have our country and all western countries invade and immediately and fatally take out dictators who massacre and starve their own people. They need to be taken out with extreme prejudice. Idi Amin virtually without impunity wiped out his own countrymen, and the world did diddly squat, and when finally overthrown, I think it was Sudan who offered him sanctuary, where is the justice in that?   But then we have Somolia and Darfur which a lot of talk and blustering and no action is taken. That my friend is the world we live in.
