Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is bordered by Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan on Its North, China on northeast, Islamic Republic of Pakistan is laying on the east and south and Iran is on the west of Afghanistan.

The majority population of Afghanistan is consisted on Pakhtoon nation which is about 42%.  Another nations like Tajik covers   27%, Hazar9%, Aimak 4%, Turkmen3% and Baloch cover 2% of its population.

About 80% of its population is consisted on Sunni muslims and the remaining 19% and 1% is consisted on Shi'a Muslim and other religions.

Afghanistan has produced such great pakhtoon leaders like Ahmad Shah Abdali and Mahmood Ghaznawe and Saeed Jamal ud Din Afghani.

It is said that Great Pakhtoon leader Ahmad Shah Abdali attacked  India for nine times during 1747 and 1769  coming through historic Valley "Khyber" and defeated hindues  during 1761 at pani pat India.

The Political and economical situation of the country has become worst after the aggression of Russia Troops on the country during 1979. the brave Pakhtoon muslims defeated Russian troops in Afghanistan which resulted their withdrawal during 1991. after the withdrawal of Russia, the country faced another civil war between its parties leaders and due to political instability it

did not get developed.

After the 9/11 deadliest attacks on USA , the US officials blamed Osama bin Laden for carrying out these attacks who was in Afghanistan in that thime.

The USA officials demanded of the Taliban government official to handover Osama bin Laden but when they failed to handover him , USA started air strikes on Afghanistan which resulted the collapse of Taliban Government in Afghanistan.

Up to date dozens  of US led NATO forces soldiers have been killed in suicide attacks  by Taliban militants and hundreds of Taliban militants also being killed   While attacking each other.

After the US Troops set up in Afghanistan ,during the Presidential election in  2002, Kamid khan Karzai was formally elected  as the President of Afghanistan called in Pashto language "Raeese-e-Jamhur"Afghanistan.

Good resume of the events. The Taliban and Al-Quaida was supported financially and with weapons by the US against the USSR.

What do you think of the latest events and how could Afghanistan find piece again and grow as Nation?

I think that the US did not fund these two organizations at all. They did fund Northern Alliance and other tribal fighters against the USSR.
