Barack Obama called winner in Maine primary by major news outlets...

Early returns in Maine showed Obama leading Clinton 58 percent to 41 percent, and The Associated Press, CNN and NBC News called the race for Obama.

Voter turnout in Maine was reported to be high on Sunday afternoon, despite a snowstorm. The Portland Press Herald reported on its Web site that there were long lines in Portland, while a large crowd in Cape Elizabeth delayed the start of the caucus there by more than an hour.

Obama's three victories on Saturday, combined with his advantage in fund-raising, gave him momentum going into Maine and the coming contests on Tuesday in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC.

How did it ever get down to these two socialist candidates when what the country need is another JFK or FDR?
