Air France Bomb Threat Adds to Flight 447 Mystery
Air France Flight 447 Update: New developments in the Air France Flight 447 disappearance have added to the mystery of what may have happened to the ill fated plane. On May 27, 2009 Air France received a bomb threat for a flight out of Buenos Aires to Paris. That flight was delayed until a sweep of the Air France plane showed the bomb threat was a hoax.
Only a few days later Air France Flight 447 disappeared from radar while flying through rough turbulent skies. Debris from the Flight 447 was discovered June 2, 2009 but offered no clues as to what went wrong. The debris from Flight 447 spanned several miles of water and the plane was in pieces suggesting it crashed violently.
Air France and Brazilian investigators have state there were no survivors of the plane crash. They are also uncertain that the black box flight recorders will ever be found. The Air France mystery will remain unsolved for some time, maybe even forever.
Updates: Air France Passenger List
Officials at Buenos Aires' Ezeiza International Airport delayed an Air France flight from the Argentine city to Paris May 27 after the bomb threat was called in, The Daily Mail reported Wednesday.
Federal police and airport safety officers inspected the plane and cleared it for take-off, Argentine media reported. The search lasted about 90 minutes, and passengers were not evacuated from the aircraft.
