Air France has told families of passengers in the deadly plane crash that no survivors are expected to be found, and "they must abandon hope that anyone survived", according to a grief counselor provided for the families.

Air France's CEO Pierre-Henri Gourgeon said at a private meeting with families that the plane disintegrated either in the air or when it slammed into the ocean and there were no survivors, according to Guillaume Denoix de Saint-Marc, who was asked by Paris prosecutors to help counsel relatives.

The catastrophe killed 228 people, having first disappeared off the radar while flying over the Atlantic Ocean after leaving Rio de Janeiro for Paris. A passenger list of those on the flight has been released.

i dont think the plane disintergrated.its that were the case some of the bodies would be seen floating.i think the plane drowned and its somewhere deep with bodies stuck inside.i believe God will show us something coz He wont let our souls be troubled like that not knowing what really happened to our loved ones.
