Airbus: Made In China

The first Airbus made in China was revealed at the Paris Air Show this week.
The Airbus A320, which was assembled at a plant in Tianjin that is 49%-owned by a Chinese consortium, will be delivered to a leasing company and eventually put into service by Sichuan Airlines. Airbus expects to produce a further 10 aircraft in Tianjin this year.
This is not the first Chinese produced aircraft and a domestically built jumbo jet is on the drawing boards. This is the first of what The European Aeronautic Defense and Space organization is hoping will be a huge market for the Airbus. Currently, China uses more of the Boeing produced planes, but this may change as the Chinese govenment starts to enforce its Buy Chinese laws.
Given the problems that many manufacturers in China have encountered with quality control, let's hope that Airbus doesn't become sinonymous with Scarebus.

China is using the deal to learn to make their own Air crafts and Airbus is teaching them.
