Minnesota Democrat Al Franken is adding to his lead in the last remaining Senate race left to be decided.  The next session of Congress begins on Tuesday.  Senate Republicans have threatened to block Franken from becoming Minnesota's junior senator if the Democrats try to seat without having the election officially certified.

Comedian Al Franken (D) extended his unofficial lead over Sen. Norm Coleman (R-Minn.) to at least 220 votes as state officials added 953 wrongfully rejected absentee ballots to the recount tally, the Associated Press reported Saturday evening.
