Wow! As a key observer of Liberian politics and with full understanding about the dynamics of the bloody war in Liberia. I find Ms Hendricks analysis very skew against factual evidences that were presented by the prosecution. Moreover, it appears that Ms. Hendricks has no understanding about the diamonds and gold trading in West Africa.
Ms. Hendricks are the kinds of outsiders that have made a Charles Taylor to be popular and well love amongst the people of Liberia. She has feed this network with untruths. Charles Taylor would have been responsible for war in Liberia but Charles Taylor could have never been responsible for the inhumanity that was displayed during the war. Did the U.S president had command and control over the abuses by U.S. soldiers in Iraq.
Moreover, any honest Liberia knows that Charles Taylor would have no need to go into Sierra Leone for diamonds when Liberia is similarly rich with diamonds. If Charles Taylor wanted diamonds , he could have simply dig into Liberian soil and get diamonds. It is insulting to people who truthfully loves justice for such double standard and miscarriage of justice by these socalled human rights people. It is a shame to abuse the people of Africa in the name of human rights. Where were all these human rights people when Sierra Leone and Guinea openly sponsor war against the people of Liberia? Or is this the old divide and rule game?
