Al Jazeera: Gaddafi Looking for Exit Deal
Is Muammar Gaddafi Looking for an Exit Deal?
According to al Jazeera TV, Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi is trying to make a deal to escape with his wealth intact. Apparently Gaddafi was willing to step down after 42 years in power, provided he and his family would not be prosecuted for their actions while running Libya, and that their wealth would be left intact.
Opposition leaders have opposed the plan. Meanwhile, Tripoli has not confirmed the rumor, and the Libyan military continues to fight with rebel forces. Gaddafi has the upper hand in terms of raw military might, but that's only as long as no other country gets involved. The imposition of a no-fly zone over Libya seems more and more likely, and Britain has already sent members of the SAS into Libyan territory, albeit with embarrassing results.
Al Jazeera said sources from the council told its correspondent in Benghazi that the offer was rejected because it would have amounted to an "honourable" exit for Gaddafi and would offend his victims.

One more rumour, may be by British Foreign Secretary,a big liar like Bush and Blair(now spelled Bliar).Gaddafi is still in control,if not in full control, and doesn't seem inclined to relent. The US empire and its tail wagging dog,the Britishers, know well that there is nothing about democracy, these rogue leaders are crying for.As Sarah Flounders,co-director of International Action Centre rightly put it:'It is all about control, and profit, and domination'-the moral philosophy of US empire and European thugs.
