The pro-LTTE mafia which so frivolously advocated the access to the foreign media are understandably silent on this.
Now, since the civilians are able to talk freely, without fearing the LTTE, they come out with the real story on how the LTTE oppressed them.
Those who still claim otherwise can now take the route to the cockoo's nest, and a there will be quite a queue as well.

Al Jazeera's report today - 25-Apr-2009 :
As the Sri Lankan government confronts the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), between 15,000 and 50,000 civilians are estimated to be trapped in the conflict zone - a four square kilometre pocket of land in the northeast.
Some civilians are now in about 40 overcrowded camps after fleeing LTTE-held areas. Thousands more have fled to the frontline coastal village of Puttumattalan, which until earlier this week, was in the so-called "no fire zone".
Al Jazeera's David Chater reports.

Senthil,
David Chater says " In a statement issued from a pro tamil web site the Tamil Tigers said that urgent action was needed to help the civilians traped in the no fire zone"
My understanding is that the GOSL is extending the help requested by the tigers.
BTW could you please explain how and why these civilian are traped over there?
Are there people are originally from this area?
If not, how have they end up there?
We people in Colombo are clueless of waht is happening in Wanni as we only listen to the GOSL properganda. Hope you could be of some help for us to know the truth
