BAGHDAD - Feb 21, 10:15am GMT : Mugtada Al-Sader, the young militant Iraqi religious leader, announced  today that he is extending the truce between Al-Mahi Army and the  the American forces for another 6 months.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />His announcement was made this afternoon after the afternoon Friday prayers, and was announced by his aid sheikh  Al-Aaraji

 Al-Mahdi Army is one of the largest militia in Iraq, specially in Baghdad, lead by religious leader Mugtada Al-Sader. The truce between the US army and Al-Mahsi army lasted for 6 months, which helped  the American army in conducting its resent operations. Before that, there were daily clashes between both sides and both suffered heavy casualties.


 

Mugtada Al-Sader is against the presence of the American forces in Iraq.
