This is an eyewitness report from the NowPublic member everchanging who was on the scene.
NP Rank:
Al Sharpton held a pray vigil at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 1401 E. Jefferson St., before taking to Phoenix city streets to lead a three mile march to the Arizona State Capital for a candle vigil in opposition to Arizona Immigration law SB1070 signed into law on April 23 and takes effect on July 29th 2010.
""Sharpton and other critics predict it will lead police to single out Hispanic citizens for questioning and detention if they cannot prove residency.
"You can amend it, you can bend it, you can do anything you want to it," Sharpton said, but the law will inevitably promote racial profiling.
