San José del Cabo, México.- An Alaska Airlines aircraft had to be evacuated yesterday afternoon because a passenger has an unspecified threat, so that operations at the San José del Cabo airport were suspended for 40 minutes to activate the security protocols.

It was the Alaska Airlines flight 253 bound for Los Angeles. Yesterday at 17:00 was reported that one of the passengers received an envelope with a letter inside with a written threat.

The passenger reported the incident to the crew who in turn gave notice to the control tower.

For this reason the security protocol was activated and all passengers of Alaska Airlines flight 253 were evacuated from the aircraft and luggage was revised over again.

After it was determined by the airport authorities that the threat was not serious, after 40 minutes, the flight went normally to its destination.

Authorities did not release further details or identity of the passenger threatened.
