Update

The low pressure cyclone is moving towards the Bay of Mannar though Sri Lanka will continue to experience heavy showers due to easterly winds not directly related to the cyclone.(dailymirror.lk)

According to the latest( 6th December)  the cyclone is now weaking to a depression and moving to north east.How ever  it may be active again.

Sri Lankan METROLOGICAL Department said possible cyclone to East part of Sri Lanka within next few hours.At the moment it is 600 Km away from Batticaloa.The depression which was in the Central Bay of Bengal has intensified in to a Tropical Cyclone.

Fairly strong winds and thunder showers expected areas of Northern,North Central and East Provinces.

If it hits to Sri Lanka SL Troops advancement will be delay.At the moment they are 4 Km behind the Kilinochchi Town.Earlier this week heavy rains caused to Flood situation and it pause Logistics and Troops Advancement.
