Algerian Authority Denies Reuters Report About an Explosion Rocking Algeria killing 20 people

UPDATE 15:10 GMT – The official Algerian News Agency dines the Reuters report that an explosion had occurred today at Al-Bowerah. Meanwhile France is opening an official investigation in the death of a French engineer in yesterdays explosion.

UPDATE 13:50 GMT – A security source in Algeria denies any explosion happened in AL-Bowerah. However, Reuters in its wire service did report the explosion, and both Al-Jazeera and Al-Arabia News agencies reported it.

With the situation unclear, it is worth mentioning that Algeria had several terrorist attacks over the last week.
