Homosexuality can still be sentenced by death in seven Muslim nations, but one organization called Al Fatiha --that means the opening -- has started a confidential and anonymous survey of lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer and questioning Muslims.
There is a strange hypocrisy with same-sex sexual relatsionships quite prevalent, but hidden and at least two Muslim rulers, including Sultan Qaboos of Oman, widely rumored to be gays.
Gays can be punished by death in at least seven countries --Afghanistan, Iran, Mauritania, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and Yemen, according to the International Lesbian and Gay Association, ILGA.

Thank you for this story, Ahmar! I would like to add that Al-Fatiha released its first-ever LGBTIQQ survey of Muslim's of all traditions who are lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, trans-gender, intersex, queer, and questioning or exploring their sexual orientation on Valentine's day. The survey is anonymous and confidential. It is designed to educate. Thanks again!
