Amanda Brumfield Sentenced to 20 years for Death of Olivia Madison Garcia

Amanda Brumfield, estranged daughter of actor Billy Bob Thornton, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for the death of one-year-old Olivia Madison Garcia.

Amanda Brumfield Found Guilty of Manslaughter

Olivia Garcia was the daughter of Heather Murphy, who was one of Amanda Brumfield's friends. Brumfield often cared for Olivia, and said that the toddler injured her head when she fell from a crib while attempting to climb out.

Brumfield also faced first-degree murdeer and aggravated child abuse charges, for which she was found not guilty. Sentencing was originally expected in July.

Murphy delivered an emotionally wrenching statement on the loss of her child, whom she called Liv.

"I can't believe you're gone," she said. "All I want to do is take you trick-or-treating, and to dress you up as Tinkerbell … Mommy is so incomplete without you."
