Amanda Knox Supporters, Meredith Kercher Family Await Appeal Verdict
Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito have delivered their final pleas to the jury in their appeal case. At stake is whether or not Knox and Sollecito go free on an overturned murder charge, after the DNA evidence used to convict them was called into question.
A decision has been reached in the Amanda Knox appeal. The Amanda Knox verdict is expected by 3:30pm ET/12:30pm PT on October 3.

Speaking in Italian, Amanda Knox told the court, "I did not do the things they say I did. I did not kill, rape or steal. I was not there." Said Sollecito, "I am a Mr. Nobody but now they want Mr. Nobody to spend the rest of his life in jail."
ABC is also live-blogging the Amanda Knox appeal verdict. They quote a Twitter rumor that says that, if acquitted, Amanda Knox will go to Rome and get on a waiting plane to America, though the Knox family says that there is no such plane.
The family of Meredith Kercher, who would be 25 years old had she not been murdered, argue that, in the media circus surrounding Amanda Knox, their daughter has been forgotten.

Thank god they have finally realeased Amanda & Raffaele. I personally think Italy owes both families involved a lot of compensation after what their dispicable system did to them. THEY WERE NEVER GUILTY OF ANYTHING AND THEY NEW IT! And to Amanda's parents - YOU SHOULD BE SO PROUD OF YOURSELVES! I just hope Amanda and her family write a book about her ordeal and make a lot of money and stick it right up Italy and their justice system! Good luck Amanda, I have followed this right from the start and you and Raffaele being released has just made my day!!! F... Y.. Italy!
