America, The 99er's, A Common Purpose
A ripple of emotion has now manifested into a wave of empathy for the millions of Americans. This once great society has now succumbed to corporate greed, continually failed governmental policies, and a educational system that it too has failed the American public. For the majority of Americans attaining the "American Dream" has turned into the American nightmare. The wave of discontent is intensifying and will form a Tsunami of revolution if conditions remain unaltered. The seeds of revolution that have been planted by self serving ideologies, single minded bureaucrats and the greed of corporate America have taken root and has sprouted a fever pitch of emotions swelling to sweep over this nation.
" I am the master of my fate. I am the captain of my soul." William Ernest Henley. This quote if taken literately teaches self-reliance, respect for others, and an unbinding faith that anyone can over-come adversity. Through perseverance, patience, and a benevolence toward others has guided America for over 200 years. But, in this past decade the availability of opportunities to actually practice that quote has all but evaporated. In most respects the United States four founding principals Liberty, Justice, Education, and Morality even-though are indirectly linked to that quote, where our founding fathers envisioned a country based on the citizens self-reliance and where the government of the people and by the people will live and flourish indefinitely. What has transpired in the last 30 years is a deterioration, so acute, a once solid foundation of the principals now have undermined the future of the United States.
There are many reasons why America has lost the economic security that was so prominent of the last half of the 20th century. The United States was at the end of World War II a manufacturing base economy; where our exports far exceeded our imports, our educational system was the standard for the world, and we held a high moral standard in most aspects of society. Today our manufacturing base economic system has been replaced by a service based one, our educational system has been reduced to a substandard level and our morals in our society have depraved to the lowest point in our history. It is no wonder that the United States governmental and financial policies of the past 30 years created the worst economic collapse since the Great Depression.
When the United States shifted from a strong manufacturing base to a service oriented one due to the trade agreements like NAFTA, the fraudulent financial practices of the banking industry, the relaxing of moral standards in our society, the deterioration of the family unit, our failed educational policies and the political systems corruption have all contributed to America's decline in these past 30 years. These facts now illustrate the commanding need for complete reform. Restoration of our base economy is essential for the United States future.
Many factors today involving our economy have to be addressed, reformed, and implemented now before the United States sees any real recovery. One: is that the amount of credit card debt is at record levels, Two: incomes have fallen while the cost of living continues unabated to rise annually, Three: There is virtually no personal savings. Forth: unemployment keeps rising, Fifth:: the manufacturing base in the United States keeps shrinking. Sixth:: our educational standards are inferior to keep pace with the employment opportunities for the 21 st century.
The first ten years of the 21st. century has seen so much destruction, violence, and mayhem in a time where technology and science have made substantial strides in improving the human condition have been cotinually thwarted. The first decade of 2000 saw the United States fail to grasp the magnitude on undertaking and ending the War on Terror. The subsequent foreign policy decisions that were made did very little to secure the security and stability of the United States. Not only that but from 2001- 2009 the United States financial institutions through the book away on prudent fiscal policies which created the world-wide financial disaster that is still plaguing every country. This financial crisis is as catastrophic as the Great Depression of the 1930's.
Continuing governmental and major corporations policies have helped spread global warming to the point that the worlds oceans have changed the landscape of the planet. Our oceans are now reaching a critical desalination point due to Arctic melting which means more violent storms are beginning to form every year. There has been a continuing world-wide out-cry but governments have yet to react and adopt stringent policies to curb and stop the causes of global warming. With continued pollution into the earths oceans has only exasperated the escalating rise in temperatures all around the world.
The first decade of the this the 21st century is marked by seemly endless violence, continued poverty, famine, and pestilence. It seems like the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse has marched straight through the United States and the rest of the world from the Mr. and Mrs. Smiths of America's point of view; where the majority of citizens who went to work, tried to pay their mortgage, and did all the "right things" that an American citizen aspires to, only to find out that they lost their jobs, their homes, and their lifestyle that they worked so hard to achieve. They now find themselves in a world that is gone.
Through greed, manipulation, and an apathetic attitude by a few individuals the Mr. and Mrs Smith's of America are powerless to right the wrongs that have befallen them and now the rest of the world is in similar or even worse situations because of the actions of a few and of the inactions of governmental agencies that are supposed to protect the publics interest and not their own. It is now no wonder why the growing swell of anger is triggering the tidal wave of revolt against the status quo.
A common purpose now rises out of the turmoil of this past decade to ensure that the next decade and beyond history does not repeat itself. That starts right here in the United States where millions of incomes have been lost and lives shattered. The right wing agenda of the Republicans is continually prohibiting any type of forward mobility of our economy. In fact the Republicans have inadvertently done the exact opposite. This slash and cut mentality is only hurting the United States economy. Opportunity is before us now to right the wrongs of oppression, stagnation and repression that have befallen the majority of Americas. Only through total reform of all the policies, laws, treaties, and mandates of the past 35 years will propel the United States and the rest of the world into that brighter future for all. This starts with a definitive plan of direction, A National Economic Reform agenda. No longer will the American public tolerate the continuing blight of repression that has been carried on for so long.
The crest of that tidal wave of revolution will cascade over causing more devastation unless the present Administration and Congress immediately start to understand the severity and the seriousness of intentions of the groundswell of anger. This groundswell of anger which is catapulting the Tsunami of revolt and revolution that will surface if actions are not undertaken to educate how by implementation of National Economic Reform will impact everyone's quality of life. To actually achieve the "Williams Theory of Economic Evolution" the implementation of National Economic Reform is paramount. Detailed in Economic Reform is a WPA { Works Progress Administration} type program to offset the current rate of unemployment. In creating blue collar jobs in infrastructure is to rebuild the nations deteriorating roads, bridges, rail systems, our electric grid, schools and water-ways. At the same time there will be allocating more funding to unemployment compensation where $300 per week is still not enough to cover ones basic needs no matter where they live. The need is so apparent now that these necessary programs must be passed immediately to save our citizens from wallowing in acute poverty and further undermining the security of the United States. We have to always remember that a nations national security depends of the health of it's citizens and the availability of the resources and tools necessary for each citizen to be provided with the means and opportunity to obtain real living wage jobs.
"We the people " now have the opportunity to ensure the solvency, the security, the prosperity and the restoration of our basic founding principals. A united effort with the common purpose is the only way to achieve the results needed if America is to survive as was intended the way our Constitution was written. To foster in a lasting era of prosperity, peace between nations, and preservation of the planet passage of National Economic Reform is imperative.
