America Never Had A "Free-Market" Economy

There are alot of you, out there, that are upset with President Obama's handling of the American economy. Don't give him a bum rap just yet, for he's only been in office for six months, and he's following the lead of virtually all U.S. presidents that have come before him whether you believe it or not.

The American economy, let alone the rest of the  so-called capitalist world's economy, has never been a "free market economy"; America's economy has always been a "mixed economy" . . .a truly "free-market economy" does not  rely upon government-sanctioned slave-labor which existed in America since day-one and up until a bloody civil war put an end to it. A "free-market-economy" does not rely upon the many protective tariffs, that were written into law throughout America's history, in order to protect itself from foreign (and  even American intrastate) economic competition. A "free-market-economy" does not rely upon a Central Bank to regulate, stimulate, and de-stimulate its money supply. And a "free market economy", does not sanction and allow retailers, such as Walmart, to flood its shelves with cheap goods produced by slaves in places such as China. for purely political, diplomatic, and economic purposes.

It is simply, factually and historically, an economic myth that America has ever operated within the bounds of a "free market economy". President Obama is just taking the torch, that was passed to him, to the next economic level. And perhaps the reason why is that many Americans are completely and totally ignorant of their country's economic, political,  and social history. Talk to the average American on the street and see if you agree with me.

There is no such thing as free in this world, why just America. The word market itself is meant for profit, so limitation and boundaries are inevitable part of it. Well relatively open or shut is different matter all together.

Thanks for the information.  As far as I can see, American never had a "free" anything.  Except free land for certain Caucasians after the Indiginous People were marched away on thier Trail of Tears so that the country could expand and settle sprawling plantations worked by slaves from Africa and serfs from European prisons and ghettos.  To the elite, we remain slaves and serfs.  You may see that soon.

COMMUNIST CHINA

COMMUNIST AMERICA

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?  A thicker smokescreen, evaporating fast.
