Passengers From American Airlines Flight 24 Were Grounded in San Francisco After Receiving Phone Threat

American Airlines flight 24 was ready to take-off from San Francisco airport bound for New York's JFK on Thursday but after authorities received a phone threat the plane was grounded and moved to a different part of the airport.

Passengers were deplaned and both the passengers and the plane had to be re-screened. No threat was found on-board and everyone was able to continue on their journey.

There were original reports that there was already a hostage situation on board, but those turned out to be false.

Fox had a live video feed of the airplane on the tarmac during the incident.

The phoned in threat apparently stated that there would be a hijacking on this flight according to CNN, although no more information is known at this time. According to one tweet from 'cmckella' two people were taken off the back of the plane while the rest were removed from the front but it is not known why.

Passenger Michael Kidd told The Associated Press that he saw a young man and a young woman being handcuffed by police and the FBI have confirmed that at least two people are being questioned in connection with the incident.
