Islamabad: The United States Ambassador to Pakistan, Anne W. Patterson, has rejected a report by Washington Post alleging that the government of Pakistan and the United States had reached a ‘tacit agreement’ on drone attacks in the Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) of Pakistan.

Talking to a private TV channel, she said that the report was not true and that there was not such agreement existed.

She avoided to comment on the drone attacks and said that her government respects the independence and sovereignty of Pakistan and backs the current democratic government.

The government of Pakistan also has denied the report.

. . . all real agreements are tacit and denial is confirmation.  That's the rule.
