as a University graduate, I have to elaborate on this statement, because it has profound and strong message...:) Life and gun do not have to be opposites. In the wild west a quality gun or winchester rifle could save your life. Yes, of course by shooting the others. bad guys, naturally. or { its a black humour) in Syria, when Kofi stated, that everyone witha gun should try and give peace a chance.
@Matt; If the State is so concerned about guns then it should be the first to surrender them. If the State can reason away it's not giving up guns then it shouldn't be so hypocritical in demanding private citizens give up theirs. If Syria is the example then see how that only the two sides of the same equation have weapons. The State and those hoping to overthrow the State are armed. Those in the majority; the unarmed, are the ones dying in the streets. Naturally their dying is for the cause, or [it's a black humor]. I guess only those with the weapons get the joke.
it was not a very good joke.. yes , people with the guns get it and people who live in neutral lands, like me. If I live in Lebanon or Egypt I would not dare to smile or chuckle..
well matt. best to ensure through civil law that you too have the right to have a gun. that way you don't have to be a victim to the state or those hoping to overthrow the state like those poor Syrians murdered in their homes and as they walk down the streets of their towns.
