Amy Bishop, the Suspect in the Shooting of Six Colleagues at the UA Huntsville Campus Had Her Home Searched Friday

Several police cars were stationed outside Amy Bishop's home in southeast Huntsville on Friday and the area around her house was evacuated including homes adjacent to her house. Witnesses reported seeing a small robot go in to the house and then a few booms could be heard coming from inside.

Al.com reported that the item destroyed was a piece of PVC pipe as police were concerned that an explosive device was concealed in the pipe. However, after the device was destroyed it was found not to be a bomb, but police wanted to take as much caution as they could.

The WAFF 48 News Crew then reports hearing a small boom followed by a larger boom.

The police claimed that they were at the house to search for hazardous materials on a search warrant. Raw video of police activity outside Amy Bishop's home.
