The medals have been tallied and the 2010 Winter Games are over for Vancouver, BC. Now, is the time for clean-up and rest. As the flocks of visitor and athletes leave, almost quicker than they came, the city will soon shrink back to a normal size.
...Yes, there were the minor glitches, here and there. However, February was a proud month for the city of Vancouver and the citizens of the world. The snow thankfully held out throughout the Games and protesting was kept to a minimum. A spirit was seen in Canada, in a way, different than ever before. Together, people from all over the world were able to join in relative peace, all for the same purpose and fill the streets of a city for three weeks and party!..
A country stands proud, alongside the athletes that worked so hard to obtain their Gold Medals for their team and their country. The supporters, volunteers, athletes, and everyone who was involved in the makings of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games deserve a standing ovation, the show was spectacular!
