Angela Blackwell Traded Sex With Her 10-Year-Old Granddaughter to 67-Year-Old Johnnie L. Griffin in Exchange for Cocaine

In what can only be considered a story of betrayal and heartbreak, Angela A. Blackwell, 45, was caring for her 10-year-old granddaughter on the weekends, and due to her cocaine habit, she traded sex with the young girl to 67-year-old Johnnie Griffin in exchange for cocaine that he gave her. This was not a one-time trade-off however, the first assault took place in September 2009 and the last took place in February 2010. It is not known if these events transpired every weekend.

According to the Saginaw News, the local paper where both Blackwell and Griffin live, Angela Blackwell has been charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a person under the age of 13 and one count of pandering or pimping.

The police are now searching for Johnnie L. Griffin, who last lived at 2517 Owen in Saginaw, and has been charged with two counts of first-degree and one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a person under the age of 13. He has also been charged with two gun charges, but is on the run and police do not know where he is located. See the bottom of this story for a recent photo of Johnnie Griffin. 

Blackwell's granddaughter used to stay with her on the weekends and the Saginaw police report that she would bring her to Griffin's house where she would receive cocaine and other narcotics and Griffin would have sex with her granddaughter as payment.

Police think that Griffin has other victims as well and they are anticipating more charges if more come forward. The first-degree criminal sexual conduct charge Griffin faces, carries a maximum sentence of life in prison with the possibility of parole; if the person is under 13, which Blackwell's granddaughter is, the minimum sentence is 25 years.

Angela Blackwell is still in the Saginaw County Jail on a $15,000 bond, and she is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on March 30th.

Johnnie Griffin is probably not in the Saginaw area according to police, but it is thought he is driving a two-tone blue pickup truck with a black tonneau cover and chrome rims. If you see him, call the Saginaw Police Department at 817-232-0311.
