Angry Crowd Outside Letterman Show: "Dave's Son is a Bastard"
After David Letterman apologized a second time for a joke he never made (the rape of 14-year-old Willow Palin), an angry crowd, resembling a 2008 McCain campaign rally, gathered outside Letterman's studio and hurled various insults and nastiness.
An angry pro-Sarah Palin crowd protested outside the Ed Sullivan theater in New York City, calling David Letterman's son a "bastard" and his wife a "slut." They also called Letterman a "child abuser" and accused him calling for the rape of 14-year-old Willow Palin.
Later on "The Late Show," David Letterman gently ridiculed the angry "Fire Dave" mob with a "Top Ten List of Thigs overheard at the Fire Dave Rally" and by having one of his writers appear on set with anti-Letterman protest sign.
