Another first for African Americans in U.S.
On Friday the GOP elected its first African American as the Notional Party Chairman. Micheal Steele, the former lieutenant governor of Maryland won the election with 91 votes. 2. His father was a limousine driver in Washington, D.C., and on occasion drove Robert F. Kennedy around town.
3. He was the first African American to hold an elected state office in Maryland.
4. He was at one time Mike Tyson's brother-in-law. His sister Monica had been married to Iron Mike.
