In an exclusive report, CBN News Senior National Correspondent David Brody uncovers another Palin family scandal. The latest scandal surrounds the 1986 arrest of Todd Palin on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Sources close to Sarah Palin tell The Brody File that the husband of the GOP Vice-presidential choice, Todd Palin, was arrested and charged with Driving under the Influence of alcohol back in 1986. He was 22 years old at the time. He was driving in a truck with some friends in the small southwestern Alaska town of Dillingham when he was pulled over for the DUI. As is customary, he was taken to jail briefly. Sarah and Todd Palin were high school sweethearts so they were dating at the time. The Brody File can also report that there was no accident or injuries.
After earlier revelations that Palin's 17 year old daughter is pregnant, Todd Palin's 1986 DUI charges have renewed concerns that the Vice-presidential candidate was not properly screened by McCain's advisors.

If anything, it is more of an indictment of the McCain organization.
Then, it may not be that big of a deal to voters and a quick mea culpa, sincere or not, could take care of it.

The Republican Party in Alaska is divided into factions. Palin came from nowhere and defeated the sitting Governor in the Primary Election a couple years ago. Then she defeated the former Governor Tony Knowles in the general election. A few loose ends accompany such a rapid rise to public consciousness. We'll get over these little matters very soon.

Wouldn't that be because HE openly, willingly brought it into the light of day before it became a scandal - before he assumed the limelight - before people began asking - with no attempts at a cover up and no questions left open about thorough vetting? - maybe because there isn't the slightest of reasons to believe it is an issue in any way?
That's (that kind of honesty is) what Republicans are referring to as 'a game changer'!
Tell me honestly you don't see a huge, gaping difference....

That said, this is very old news - I too was arrested for a dui back in 82 or 3 and I know that was a helluva long time ago and I was a different person then!
Happily, I'm not running for any public or national office nor marrying anyone who is!

Sara Palin is a joke and John McCain was insulting the American people when he thought that we would be okay with her nomination. Why is the media still covering her or anything about her? But in her defense bringing up something about Todd that happened when he was 22 wow is ridiculous. Everyone makes childish mistakes in their teens and early 20's that hold no baring on their adult life.(that's if they learned from those mistakes and grew from them). we have an economy to worry about and the future of our nation, not what Todd Palin was doing in 1986.

More Trash on the Palin Family
I really think some of stuff is so much drivel. So the record shows they were normal kids and parents. Sometimes really normal and sometime naughty normal. Is this all you have to write about? If so, get a life. I did not vote for Palin, but I do get tired of the searching of the garbage that seems to follow her around. As far as her daughter goes, please name the other boy so the girls up there won't date someone who kisses and tells. Give me a break!
