According to reports a Metro Blue Line light rail train struck a bus in the Long Beach downtown area. This collision occurred during the morning commute and injured 14 passengers when one of the cars derailed. The collision knocked the front car off of the track and the other cars stayed on the track.
The passengers and the operator of the train sustained minor injuries according to Luis Inzunza a spokes person for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. The injured passengers and operator were transported to the hospital.
