Anthrax Vaccines Killed More Than the 2001 US Attack- And Bush Has Pumped Billions Into BioWarfare

OpEd in the Baltimore Examiner- The 2001 Anthrax attacks used the highest grade US government Anthrax, but only 5 died- despite potentially tens of millions being exposed through the Post Office. On the other hand, a vaccination program has killed at least 21 and sickened thousands. Meanwhile, the FBI is maintaining that Bruce Ivins is the killer, despite having only a circumstantial case filled with holes- and many of his co-workers have said Ivins couldn't have done it. And the Bush Administration has invested billions in weaponizing diseases.

Two clear facts shine from the clouded mystery of anthrax attacks on America and our government’s tenuous claim seven years later of closing the case with the suicide of a suspect.

Fact No. 1: Government warnings about anthrax being a weapon of mass destruction were false. Somebody dispersed the most lethal strain our tax dollars can produce — weapons-grade or near enough — via the U.S. Postal Service, exposing tens of millions of people, yet managed to infect 22. Five died. But from anthrax vaccination, at least 21 died and thousands reported a wide range of illnesses.

Fact No. 2: If FBI accusations against their prime suspect in the 2001 attack are true, it means billions of dollars taxpayers invested on the premise of prevention actually increased the risk.

We learned in 2001 the actual danger from anthrax was lower than vaccine.

But these biohazard labs grow a lot more dangerous pathogens than anthrax. The next one to get out could kill millions.

President Bush must immediately halt programs until we can impose coordinated oversight, then assess security and capacity needs.

We must not let self-defense become self-inflicted catastrophe.

you're welcome Cypresso, thanks for your support. It really changes the "security" perspective- increasing militarization and attempts to imagine and defend against every possible threat will in the long run create more dangers, cost more and result in less security than working to establish peace, justice, political freedom and economic security through fair trade and investment in peoples, as opposed to power structures and the self-interested elites who control them.

The Anthrax Vaccine produces side effects similar to other vaccines

Mild local reactions occur in 30% of recipients and consist of slight tenderness and redness at the injection site. Severe local reactions are infrequent and consist of extensive swelling of the forearm in addition to the local reaction. Systemic reactions occur in fewer than 0.2% of recipients.

The reason that more folks were not effected by the anthrax that was sent via the United States mail is that Anthrax must get through an abrasion or cut to the skin, must be airborne, or ingested. Since these articles of mail were sealed the likelihood of infection remained low even at weapons grade. In order to infect many folks with weapons grade anthrax a disbursing tool is necessarily. The envelopes contained no such ability to administer to a large group.

While your story sounds convincing to those who are unaware of Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical weapons it fails the test by anyone who has undergone such training.

I received the Anthrax Vaccine during my P.O.M. prior to the Gulf War. I observed very few ill effects by those who had the vaccine administered to them. Most of us had redness at the injection site, some itching at the site within 48 hours, and few still felt slight flu like symptoms.

The Anthrax in the attacks was even given an electrostatic charge to prevent clinging and increase airborne travel- some of those 22 sickened inhaled it when the envelopes were opened. As far as Anthrax goes, what delivery mechanism can deliver Anthrax to a large population?

You and no one you know got sick or died from the vaccine, but this is anecdotal evidence; the public record so far, according to this article, is 21 deaths and thousands sickened- i take it you're not disputing that?

The article also notes that more dangerous pathogens are being worked with, in a major expansion of biowarfare research; given that the Anthrax used in the attacks came from a US govt. or govt. backed lab (Battelle?), the labs are an obvious security risk- especially when they're being managed by people hired and appointed by the corporate criminal Bush Administration, which "failed" to prevent 9/11 and has impeded investigations, and has never explained why White House staff went on Cipro on the day of 9/11.

Erik, I was a bit closer to the Gulf War then you were. My position as an Army Behavioral Science Specialist and an NBC specialist would give me first hand knowledge of death rates and illness from the vaccine. Remember first hand information is better then anything you can look up. The bottom line is the title is misleading and inaccurate. I don't dispute your numbers only because I do not know the actual numbers. The term sick is very subjective. A redness at the site could be categorized as sick front he vaccine. I am not sure if you have any real evidence that the President or staff took medication following the attack. If so it could be something as simple as a medical protocol. You fail to remember that Bill Clinton underwent an attack on the WTC that failed. He didn't stop it, it was early in his administration and other terrorist attacks continued throughout his Administration. I do see that folks are lumping any deaths that are not fully explained as a death by the vaccine. The same logic that says if you hit a home run and are wearing red underwear to keep wearing them as they were a contributing factor to the home run. Rubbish.

I haven't checked their numbers but the death rates don't sound "incredible" plus, the Baltimore Examiner is an MSM with a journalistic rep to uphold; would they get a fact like that wrong, that would be simple to verify?

Could've sworn i saw something about Bush being a doofus and couldn't have done 9/11; anyway, i agree Bush is a doofus, and doubt, whatever he knew before 9/11, he was probably not in charge of much more than sitting in the classroom room with My Pet Goat for 7 minutes after he was told "The nation is under attack."

I'm no fan of Bill Clinton; i think he should be investigated in connection with 9/11, the 93 WTC Bombings (in which the FBI ordered their informant to get the patsies to use real explosives Tapes Depict Proposal to Thwart Bomb Used in Trade Center Blast - NY Times), and Oklahoma- and subpoenaed to testify under Oath before domestic and international Courts and Congress, in public, in answer to real questions about 9/11; starting with the 70% of the families questions ignored by the 9/11 Commission.
