Antoinette Nicole Davis, mother of Shaniya Davis who went missing last Tuesday, was charged with human trafficking, child abuse involving prostitution, filing a false police report, and interfering with the investigation. Body of the missing 5-year-old Shaniya Davis was found around Highway 87 south and Walker Road, south of Sanford. Her kidnapper, Mario Andrette McNeill was charged with first-degree kidnapping.

According to arrest documents, Davis "knowingly provide(d) Shaniya Davis with the intent that she be held in sexual servitude" and she "permit(ted) an act of prostitution."

Investigators spoted several inconsistencies in Antoinette Nicole Davis' statement.

Shaniya Davis had only been living with her mother for 3 weeks. Shaniya's father, Bradley Lockhart said he wanted to let Shaniya live with her mother because she had found a place to live and had a job for 6 months. Lockhart had lived with Shaniya for 3 or 4 years.

"I just wanted her to be a mother," he said. "She was never part of her life."

Shaniya Davis was last seen at a Sanford hotel on Tuesday.

Mario Andrette McNeill, 29, admitted to the kidnapping, but has been "extremely uncooperative", and only given some information to police. He turned himself in Friday.
