These are main stream opinions and it will remain so for a very long time. Western main stream media doesn’t really help changing the situation, but rather fueling it by ignoring other voices coming out from the Muslim world - not only from common civilians, or bloggers, but from the top officials and columnists. Don't forget that some of the owners of Western media are extremely rich Arabs who have already used their power to influence how news is reported.
Yes, you're absolutely right about that. Another problem is that with all the political correctness being showered by the Western media, the audience is getting sick of it and looking for other sources of information, ready to embrace almost any lie and mislead thrown at them by Al Jazeera and alike.
