Gloria intends to put her opinion into the Copenhagen pot, she is not after money just to pledge. The Philippines is already trying to cut its greenhouse emissions but its a hard task due to poverty and officials that turn a blind eye. But the laws have been placed the Philippines is the second largest geothermal user, more effort is also being imposed.

But I feel she will add some interesting points to the debate, she has believed in climate change for a very long time. Placed a lot of effort on legislation to save the environment.

"For the Philippines, we will not go to Copenhagen for a hand out we will go to join hands with other nation to bond together and to solve this problem imposed by man," she said.

The President disclosed that several months ago, the Copenhagen summit has been deemed not to push through.

But she said this "man-made devastation" issue should either be neglected or delayed as it threatened more than one billion people, half of it is part of the Asian countries.

"The global warming summit in Copenhagen is vital for our nation. For the future of our children and for the sake of the world," she noted, adding that Philippines is one of the nations, which has been battered by natural calamities such as storm.
