NP Rank:
Arson millionaire Christopher Foster built network of pipes to fuel blaze
The British millionaire who killed his family and burned his house down appears to have planned the crime well beforehand. Rather than it being due to a snap rage, it appears he was planning it for a long while, even building a network of pipes to fuel the blaze by spraying oil throughout the house. Just when you thought this story couldn't get any stranger...
Foster, 50, whose company made a fortune selling pipe insulation technology to the oil and gas industries, laid pipes from a huge tank supplying his oil-run central heating system and ran them to the stables, garage and main house.
He then ran the oil off and used it as an accelerant to ensure the £1.2 million property was razed to the ground.
Foster shot his wife, Jillian, 49, and daughter Kirstie, 15, dead before setting the fires and killing himself.
Police today were continuing to try and formally identify the third body found in Osbaston House in Maesbrook, Shrops, following the fire last Tuesday. It is believed to be Kirstie's.
A special service will be held at Kirstie's school, Ellesmere College in Shropshire, when pupils return from their summer holidays next week.

Dave Keating, I like this story. It's good stuff. I agree with Dunkelberg. I always fail to understand the killing of one's children.

Nobody else was going to get their hands on his 'property'. Their world had to end with his!
