Through out time artist have struggled to make money out of their creativity and now it must be very hard times because of this financial melt down.

Art is looked at as an investment or as a luxury one can only afford if you have a good job. But the problem is the normal well paid consumer is frighten to buy art work because they are worried about losing there jobs. Even the dustmen are being lay off and made redundant as people are now recycling there rubbish for the extra dollar or two.

You can not times are bad as there really does not seem to be as many over weight people walking the streets. Looking at the automobiles is a good sign that doom and gloom is upon us, I have yet to see this year’s model of the Rolls Royce, plus there is no stock of cigars on the shelf to day, that’s why Obama is making peace and a trade deal with Cuba (cheap cigars).  

Well about a month ago I had this Filipino seed salesman knocking on my gate, and my God did he rattle on about super seed deals when I said I had no money, he quickly retorted, po (sir) you can have this packet of seed on credit and I will come back in a week or so and you can pay me 500 pesos when the plant comes into bloom. Ok I said craftily when I noted the word Money Tree on the package. Good deal salamat (thank you)

When I read the way to promote growth and have a healthy crop of crispy notes and coins. I was a little bit shocked, however its what I had to do. So I fed the plant the required pint of  blood daily and wrung a cloth full of my body sweat and some tears over the plant pot. Within a week or two I was very tired and weak put it’s a beautiful tree now full of Peso notes and sparkling coins. Its all most a piece of art.

I have paid the salesman of whom stated “Po you look weak and tired and that’s why I don’t grow my own money trees” I have not the strength nor the blood and sweat and tears to plant and grow the other seeds.  So now you know how an artist can make money,  while there is a depressing recession.
