Attempted Tuscon Home Invasion Caught on Camera

A man in Tuscon, AZ fought off an attempted home invasion the other day. Four attackers with automatic weapons pulled up in front of this guy's house-- in broad daylight-- and were spotted by his security cameras. This being Tuscon, AZ*, he also had a firearm, and opened fire, chasing the attackers off.

And, yes, there's video.

I must say, this is one of the only instances I know of wherein a weapon was effectively used to fight off attackers, as opposed to injuring or killing the owner.

The homeowner shot at the suspects. He even put a bullet through the windshield of the suspects car, which is also caught on camera. The four men retreated and took off.  All of them remain on the run.

Sheriff's officials say the homeowner has surveillance cameras installed all around his house.

* I spent my formative years in Phoenix, AZ, and it was very common to see people with guns prominently displayed in their vehicles.

Good story Jordan.

The bad guys in this story are brazen.  Unfortunately it is becoming more common in the border states.  You may have seen this story:  Phoenix, Kidnapping Capital of the USA

BTW, the four attackers didn't appear to be using automatic weapons.  /just sayin'

Jordan,

If this is the first instance of a home owner successfully defending themselves, then it only means that you have not been paying attention.   Try reading this site:

http://www.claytoncramer.com/gundefenseblog/blogger.html

It contains many more instances of guns being used in self defense, in most of which the gun owner repells the attacker and is not harmed by his own weapon.

Why is it always assumed in the media that a person with a gun will have it used against them?  I know that mine would not be used against me!
