Austin Bice Found Deat in Manzaneres River

Austin Taylor Bice, a senior at San Diego State University student who was studying abroad in Madrid, was found dead on March 8. Austin Bice was last seen on February 25 after trying to get into a nightclub. (Austin Bice's Travel Blog)

Austin Bice's body was found in the Manzanares River, which runs through western Madrid (Rio Manzanares map). No cause of death has yet been determined, but police say that there are no immediate signs of foul play.

Flags at Universidad Carlos III de Madri, where Austin Bice was studying, were lowered to half-mast. Austin Bice was a native of Carlsbad, California, and played football for Torrey Pines High School and SDSU.

The cause of death has not yet been determined. There was no sign of foul play, the spokeswoman said. Bice was a senior and an international business major who was studying at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid where he and other exchange students arrived in January for the winter semester.
