This photo was taken two hours after the crash in Terminal 2. I landed in Barajas around 14:15 coming from Bogotá - Colombia, and one curious fact i witnessed was that the firefighters building had all gates closed. When my flight to Lisbon left the gate, around 16:45, i saw all gates open.
At the time this picture was taken, all flights were grounded. In terminal 2, i interviewed several people and all of them knew about the acident by relatives or friends calling to the cell phones. I received a call from Lisbon asking if i was ok. No one realized there was a crash, and even Spanair counter, which was really busy at the time, no one paid attention as itºs normal to have delayed or canceled flights ...
