Morgan Freeman is Denying That He Provided the Narration For B.J. Lawson's Campaign Ad
This denial comes after B.J. Lawson's camp confirmed that Morgan Freeman narrated the ad called What is David Price Afraid Of?
Freeman has now released a statement to the HuffPo, saying the story is a lie.
"These people are lying," said Freeman in a statement sent to The Huffington Post. "I have never recorded any campaign ads for B.J. Lawson and I do not support his candidacy. And, no one who represents me ever has ever authorized the use of my name, voice or any other likeness in support of Mr. Lawson or his candidacy."
B.J. Lawson's people have stated that Freeman was paid for his work and say Lawson was inspired by Mr. Freeman "explaining the importance of our founding documents in his narration of a video about the Declaration of Independence and the campaign jumped at the opportunity work with him."
"Barbara Streisand wouldn't do it this, but Morgan Freeman doesn't have a problem cutting ads against Washington insiders or he wouldn't do it," said Lawson for Congress Campaign Manager Martin Avila. "People shouldn't be so shocked that someone like Mr. Freeman would think outside of the left-right red vs. blue dynamic. This election IS about regular people asking basic questions."
According to Mr. Freeman however, the ad in question was not narrated by him.

You've have to be a blind partisan just looking for something to criticize to deny that this voice sounds exactly like Morgan Freeman. I've seen the majority of his movies and there's no way to recognize a difference, if there is one. Why would anyone determine, without any kind of documentation other than his word, that Freeman, an Hollywood actor, is telling the truth? I'm not saying he's not, but it's foolishness to determine that his integrity is impeccable purely on the grounds that he seems like an honest man in the roles he plays in film. Get real!

Ok, first of all it sounds a lot like Morgan Freeman. A lot... and to the untrained ear, it is believable. But there ARE differences in the voices, and this voice actor's accent wanes. I could tell a slight difference, enough to know this is fishy.Even the campaign has admitted it and apologized....movies.msn.com/movies/article.aspx?news=609091
