Hiring a personal babysitter or nanny can be a very good help in a family. But for you to have the assurance on your safety especially for your baby you are free to conduct a background check. Doing a background check  is legal with the consent of the person who will undergo on it. If your nanny fail or do not comply, beware because maybe he/she has something hiding her past. A reasonable person with nothing to hide should understand why you are doing that

I agree on that, I also hire nanny but do not even undergo background check but still shes really honest and until  now she works to me. Maybe it is the best way to have those honest nanny by performing background check.
