Wife Swap Heene boys

The saga of the balloon boy, Falcon Heene, continues with the release of the 911 call that his parents made to police, after they called the FAA and a local TV station 9NEWS, according to the press conference that was held earlier today.

The FAA however, is now saying that they knew of the incident from channel 9NEWS and not from the family.

Listen to the 911 call obtained by TMZ

The parents are clearly in distress during the call with his mom Mayumi Heene crying so hard you can't understand her and then Richard Heene comes on and tries to describe the hot air balloon. Mayumi Heene does say something a bit strange though, when she says that her son vanished in a flying saucer but it could be because she is so frantic.

Later, Richard Heene comes on the phone to explain how the balloon works. "We had it tethered. It wasn’t supposed to take off," he said. "It emits a million volts on the outer skin."

It later turned out that Falcon was hiding in the attic, but there have been questions of whether it was an elaborate hoax.

Listen to the tape and decide for yourself.
