WASHINGTON DC:  Aug 14th, 2009. Baloch Society of North America organized a gathering to de-celebrate Pakistan Independence day. Hakim Baloch, a
prominent Baloch peace activist and a former teacher in Balochistan, presided the meeting. Several  American and Pashtun friends joined the meeting.

Hakim Baloch,  in his speech, urged the Baloch Diaspora groups to shun their differences and unite on a single platform for the greater interest of
Balochistan. He emphasized the role of education as a tool for self-enrichment and empowerment.

Ms. Hanna Busch, an American human right activist, who is working on several projects on women, urged the importance of education and
accommodation of Baloch women in all walks of life.

Nasser Ibrahim, a Pashtun human right activist and a strong supporter of Baloch-Pashtun rights, in his speech explained the plights of Pashtun people
in Pakistan and how Pakistan is using the war on terror as a "cash-in business" over the blood of Pashtun people. He said, "hundreds of thousands of
Pashtun has been evicted from their home in Swat valley because of Pakistani military's carpet bombing and yet none of the Taliban leader has been
killed by Pakistan's military operation but only the Pashtun civilian have died. He said American drone has been more effective and successful in
eliminating the Taliban’s leaders than the Pakistani army.“

Welcoming the Call of De Jure Ruler of Balochistan HH khan of Kalat to de-celebrate Pakistan’s independence day as a black day and in solidarity with
worldwide Baloch freedom movement for an Independent free and united Balochistan, Dr. Wahid Baloch, President of Baloch Society of North America
(BSO-NA), condemned the Pakistani and Iranian state terrorism against the secular Baloch people in Pakistani and Iranian occupied Balochistan. He
expressed deep concerns and regret over the silence of US government, UN, and other human right organizations over the ongoing genocide of Baloch
people. He said, "the United Nation and world community must not close their eyes over the ongoing Pakistan and Iranian crimes and gross human
right violations against Baloch people in occupied Balochistan." He asked the UN and world community to immediately intervene in Balochistan to
prevent further bloodshed and save lives of innocent Baloch people, including women and children, whose lives are in great danger under the Pakistani
and Iranian occupation."

Thousand Baloch have been hanged in public by Iranian revolutionary guards and many hundreds have been killed by Pakistani Islamic Jihadi army.
Several hundred are still missing and more than 80,000 Baloch have been evicted from their homes by Pakistani army and are living in harsh conditions
as refuges in their own homeland without any food, water and medicine. "It is time for the world community and human rights organizations to come
forward and rescue the oppressed Baloch people of Balochistan." he said.

Here is full text of his speech.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome and thank you for your time to come and join us here, in Washington Dc for this event. Before I begin, I request our friend and supporter, the
founder and Executive Director of Pen foundation, Mr. Hakim Saeed Baloch to preside the meeting. (Applause)

Dear friends,

We are gathered here to de-celebrate the independence day of this unfortunate country called Pakistan. Hopefully this will be the last time this country
will be celebrating her last birthday.

Dear friends, 62 years ago, on this day, on 14th of Aug in 1947, a blunder happened, a big blunder, the biggest blunder in the history of mankind.
Pakistan was created out of India as a Islamic fundamentalist state based on religious ideology, despite the fact that majority of Indian Muslims strongly
oppose the idea to divide India on religious lines, but Mr. Jinnah insisted to go on with his separatist idea to please his British conspires to break-up
India into two countries.

Because of that blunder, hundreds of thousand Indian innocent people got killed and many hundred thousand became homeless. Properties were
damaged and the whole subcontinent was brought at the brink of civil war. Even today, after 62 years, the Indian, Pakistani and the world community is
still paying a heavy price of that blunder. The death toll is rising with every day it passes as we saw it in the Mumabi terror attacks. Even today,  the creator
of this country, the British rulers, are holding their head, trying to figure out  what to do with this country and how to fix their blunder. They have realized it
now that the creation of Pakistan was a big mistake, but its existence is now even pose a bigger and greater danger for the whole world.

Pakistan has done no good to the well being of its citizen and the world community but has contributed a lot of problems for its citizen and for the world.
From extremism and talibanization to terrorism , from Military dictatorship to Corruption, from political assassinations to torture and murders of innocent
citizen and from drug mafia to gang wars,  you name it, Pakistan have it all.

Pakistan is a failing state and it is sliding to failure very fast. Sooner or later it will vanish from the world map. Those who are providing oxygen to prevent
her from collapsing should know that this state is not fixable. It is better to be done with it so that everyone can live in peace. As long as Pakistan exist,
there will be no peace in the world and the world will continue to bleed in the hands of extremists and terrorists who are being produced and trained in
Pakistani madrassas everyday with the help of Pakistani military and ISI  to blackmail the west and world community.

Dear Friends,

Balochistan was never a part of Pakistan. Balochistan declared its independence on 11th of August 1947. On March 27, 1948, Pakistan attacked the
sovereign, Independent Balochistan, occupied it and forcefully annexed into Pakistan against the Baloch wishes. Since then, Balochistan is under the
illegal occupation of Pakistan and the Baloch people are fighting to end the illegal occupation of their land and exploitations of their resources. Pakistan
is in violation of international law for her continuous illegal occupation of Balochistan. Balochistan occupation must end and Balochistan’s sovereign

"but Mr. Jinnah insisted to go on with his separatist idea to please his British conspires to break-up India into two countries." . Such an apt description of the partition. Suffering to Hindus, Muslims while the imperialists watched in glee. The third world bleeds while the first world gloats. Why just blame just Jinnah though, wasn't there a mahatma and a pundit too in the deal?
