Racism has always disturbed me, but I have discovered a blog that seems to take special delight in the suffering of white people, especially at the hands of black people. Support the effort and sign this petition to shut them down!

The name of the Website is:http://ghettobraggingrights.wordpress.com/

This message celebrates the robbing and murder of a white girl by black men: http://ghettobraggingrights.wordpress.com/2008/01/14/families-savage-slave-history-avenged-in-pursejacking-slaying-of-privileged-daughter-by-slave-ancestor/

This message says that white girls are fit to be raped and murdered by black men: http://ghettobraggingrights.wordpress.com/2008/01/18/special-feature-its-the-new-in-thing-white-girls-the-black-death-by-sexual-torture-death-wish-was-channon-christian-emily-haddock-asking-for-it/

This message blames Jews for Micheal Jackson losing Neverland: http://ghettobraggingrights.wordpress.com/2008/01/17/michael-jackson-lashes-out-jews-stole-neverland/

This message pokes fun at white people’s skin:  http://ghettobraggingrights.wordpress.com/2008/01/16/white-peoples-skin-looking-worse-worse/

This message attacks communication expert Dr Lillian Glass, calling her racist for no reason: http://ghettobraggingrights.wordpress.com/2008/01/14/dr-lillian-glass-thinks-all-blacks-look-alike-worse/

And I thought the Ku Klux Klan was hateful! This blog actually makes the Klan look respectable! And maybe that’s the actual point.

No one deserves “ghetto bragging rights”, whatever that means. The very idea is ridiculous. As human beings, we need to do all we can to lift each other up, not tear each other down. Indeed, I seriously doubt that blog was made by a person of African descent. It looks instead like the sort of thing a white racist would make to depict black people in the worst possible light. How sad.

Ghettobraggingrights.wordpress.com is a vile hate-speech website which has glorified killings of innocent people.

stupidsavannah.com has located a petition that demands removal of this disgusting website.  Support the effort and sign this petition.

Whoever you are Mr. GBR your days are numbered.  I will make it my mission to see you wont exist on the web any longer.

I can't help but think this whole website is a trick, a ploy.  I've never seen such a primitive view of the 1st amendment.  the freedom of speech is not so written with any moral prejudice.  You cannot protect freedom of expression, while at the same time disallowing freedom of expression.  This blogger and his views are protected, however objectionable he is.  When it comes to relaxing the law (ie the constitution), the saying "give em' an inch and they'll take a mile" applies.  You cannot hold a double standard in the law, and you cannot just say that "oh, well all speech except bad speech is protected."  If you don't like it, don't blame the first amendment, blame the author, or you could just ignore it.

Hitler's Holocaust against the Jews rose out of such tolerance.   I am alarmed at the position to dismiss this as other than what it is and other than who it is by. It is as alarming as the content.  I'm sure it's appreciated by its authors.

Strange blog! Racism, no matter where it may come from and to whom it may be directed to is wrong and needs to be exposed and condemned.

Paschen,

This is a clear violation and deliberate abuse of the 1st Amendment. This is my condemnation. I didn't author the petition; but, when I saw it, I jumped on board. All people, not just white people need to be concerned about the things they are saying.

i dont support this blog but this country is turning into a boring politically correct mess because of people like you guys who want to remove something someone is saying just because you feel you have the right to do so.

the first amendment is the freedom of speech, so what gives you the power to take that away from someone? just because you dont approve it... doesnt mean it should be taken away.

This is shocking!  Aren't we supposed to be progressing as a society?  Cultural devolution is definitely at work here.

Hi Tina,

It is not only shocking but deeply disturbing. It is a prime example of 1st Amendment abuse. Believe me, I am not being bias, but I haven't seen anything so vile before - not even on any white nationalist sites.

It has been stated by a member of staff here at NowPublic that this appears to be a bogus site, possibly maintained by others, not African Americans.

Please read comment posted here.

Hi Karen,

I've gone through the comments in their forum and on the other pages. These people are not bogus. I suggest you read through it too. Not only does it appear to be genuine, it is deeply disturbing.

Hi America,

I meant bogus as in not posted by or maintained by African Americans. If it is so be it, get it off the internet.

While we're at it, a list needs to be compiled of all Neo-Nazi/White supremacist/nationalist sites that go beyond what they tout is White pride, calling for the extermination of Blacks, Gays, Jews and anyone else non White.

For months, they have been calling for the death of Senator Obama, a specific target, hoped to be victim, not an unidentified, implied victim.

It may take awhile to get that list together since there are thousands on the internet. Whenever anyone suggests they should be shut down, someone raises the First Amendment.

No entity should be allowed to suggest violence or death to any individual or another group.

So, the list needs to be expanded.

Thanks for the clarity, Karen. But I understood what you meant. I don't know if you took the time to read through the comments like I suggested, but I think if you did you'd agree that it is maintained by blacks. I am very familiar with the melanin theories in many black communities as well as the general disrespect for the law that is popular in some segments of urban culture. I'm not trying to be disrespectful, but to pass this off as white nationalism because of its vulgarity isn't right. I have a friend whose DEAD uncle has been constantly maligned by them b/c he was a white cop shot by a (supposed to be) impoverished young black male. I have seen those white supremacist sites, you are right, they are not better. But no one is trying to pass them off as black fronts.

Wanting America to be beautiful again.

Thanks

White supremacist sites do indeed pass themselves off as White fronts for reclaiming America for White people.

As I said, the petition should be expanded to include those sites if it is desired that sites with hate speech be removed.

Karen, I'm a little concerned of your defense of this as a non black site. It is almost as though you are saying it is not likely. I'm not the author of that petition but felt lucky to be able to find it. I believe that we as responsible individuals have to take responsibility when it is before us. Presently, regardless of whether it is expanded, it is worth the signature of all decent citizens. Do you agree?

Only wanting America to be beautiful again.

Please re-read my comments. I did not defend the site.

In my second comment, I said that the petition should be expanded.

Partnersagainsthate.org, which identify themselves as ".... promising education and counteraction strategies for young people and the wide range of community-based professionals who work and interact with youth, including parents, law enforcement officials, educators, and community/business leaders.", states at its website:

American communities have learned the hard way that failure to address bias crimes can cause an isolated incident to fester and result in widespread tension. Hate crimes are unique because they have a special emotional and physical impact that extends beyond the original victim. They intimidate others in the victim's community, causing them to feel isolated, vulnerable, and unprotected by the law. By making members of a specific group fearful, angry and suspicious, these crimes polarize cities and damage the very fabric of our society.

Click here for an article from the organization entitled, Defining the Problem: The Internet as a Hate Tool.

A link to an article detailing extremists' comments regarding race wars and Senator Barack Obama, many calling for his assassination, which began at the onset of his presidential campaign, nearly two years ago.

m is amazing

has it ever occured to you that the page may not even be written by black people?

it's probably a bunch of, well... white people, just trying to piss you off.

and it's working.

Keep free speech. If you don't like it, change the channel.

I highly doubt anything could make the KKK look 'respectful' - that's quite a statement.

I'm not for censoring anything no matter what it is and no one else should be either.  What's next, anything you do not like should be censored just because you personally do not like it?

How about if I don't like what you are saying?  Should you be censored and stopped?  No of course not.  Are you George Bush?  He thinks he can censor away anyone and anything he disagrees with too.

0
John Borowic

Censoring is not the answer.  Post a smart rebuttal using facts to prove they are wrong or stop going to their site.  No viewers means no site.  Censoring people was how Hitler got his start.  Where does it end?  I don't like the color of my neighbors car or possibly I do not like the same food as you so should we remove all red cars or remove all dairy products?    I agree with Dave.   Besides who decides what is right and what is wrong and should be censored?

0
america-the-beautiful

"Censoring people is how Hitler got his start?"

I think fanaticism is how he started. Had he himself been censored, history might not have journeyed through that dark path.

Our standards should decide what's right and wrong.

These guys have been around for years, and, I don't think it's really run by African-Americans. The notes just ring false; it's obviously a hoax meant to stir up anger, which it clearly has done. Here on NP I've assessed and moderated many thousands of posts by now, including (now-blocked) attempts by ghettobraggingrights, and I don't think they're who they claim to be. Having said that, I have no idea why Wordpress hasn't kicked them out: regardless of the source, it's still hate speech, and a violation of Wordpress' TOS (and every other service's TOS that I can possibly think of).

0
america-the-beautiful

Jordon,

Thanks. Have you looked through that site's comments? There seems to be this prevailing feeling that African Americans wouldn't publish content as such. It is dismissive and equally, if not more, disturbing as its content.

I've read through the comments on the About and Forum pages. They lend more to the credibility of it being authentically African American than not.

It hasn't stirred up my anger. It's left me disturbed. I have a friend whose uncle, a policeman, was viciously slain by a convicted felon who was released early. THEY ARE CHAMPIONING THIS VERMIN AS THOUGH HE WERE SOME KIND OF HERO!

It is a deliberate abuse of the 1st Amendment .
